As I sat back last night watching the DNC one thing was strikingly obvious. The crowd looked nothing like the crowd at the RNC last week in Tampa. Not only was the crowd literally night and day, but the energy was much different. It seemed to have life and a vigor that was lacking at the GOP convention. It seemed much more natural, and not nearly as contrived as the GOP . The participants seemed to have something behind the words that they spoke, which contrasted strongly against the fake and plastic feelings conveyed by the GOP. You could see the looks in the faces. The tears were real, the smiles and knowing nods in agreement came from a place 180 degrees in the opposite direction of the republican agenda. These people understood exactly where each and every speaker was coming from. They too had worked themselves up from the bottom, sacrificed, and moved a head. Not once stepping on the toes of others, or shutting the door in the face of those that came behind them. These were the real stories of America. Black, white, brown and yellow. This was the America people in streets of the third world speak of. A place where ANYONE willing to put in the work can get a head. The America that says you too can be anything your heart desires. The GOP wants you to think that’s what they are about. But sadly it isn’t. They are here to segregate you. To put you in a box of their making. To tell you to go to the back door.
You can’t speak one way, then act another. You can’t tell so called minorities that you are on their side, then enact legislation to keep them as second class citizens. They will start to see your evil ways. And they will abandon you. They will mock you. They will VOTE YOU OUT OF OFFICE. This is the United States of America. And all you who will strive to divide. Work to keep others down, and laugh at those who do not look like you. Your day is over. That crowed of eager faces at the DNC is watching. They are the future. They will pass on their passions to their children, and you will soon see your way of life and ideals fade into nothingness. As I looked upon the array of colors and faces at the DNC. I felt a sense of pride in knowing that it won’t be long until America will finally become all that it’s supposed to be and more.
