Don Lemon: Legacy of ‘one drop’ rule inspires search for family history – In America – CNN.com Blogs.
This should be the beginning of an interesting look into the nuances of “being black” as it relates to CNN’s Don Lemon’s family history. It also reflects what many other African-American families have dealt with going all the way back to slavery. As someone that can relate to this piece, I look forward to his journey of discovery.
P.S. Any racist “peckerwood” or “original negro” that isn’t sure about the ethnicity of others should examine this piece. If anything, it might help them figure out why they were busted in the mouth for speaking out of turn. The days of spewing racial garbage and then later apologizing are over=In fact it may get someone/you killed. “Oh, I didn’t realize you were black” is no longer acceptable. If you don’t know someones background then shut your fucking mouth before someone does it for you. All racists can literally kiss my “questionable” ARSE!!!!!!!!!
